What is the meaning of 2 Corinthians 5:1-5, when studied in the of the context of 2 Corinthians 3 and 4? These chapters set the tone and parameter for the meaning of chapter 5. The foundation for the study is the covenant of Moses versus the covenant of Christ. These covenants are described in light of the antithesis of death and life. Paul presented the struggle of escaping the death of sin through covenantal transformation in order that he might enter the righteousness of life.Within each of the covenants are the concepts of glory, house, tabernacle, body, ministry, etc. The chapter also helps to illuminate the concepts found in 1 Corinthians 15.
William Bell has also provided an interesting Facebook discussion in its original unedited version.
